As a reader, I never noticed the little things that make a BIG difference in a book. Spending the last ten months as a member of a writer’s group has made me realize a few things.
One of the main is, you need a hook. You need something that grabs the reader and pulls them into the story. That’s why I’m posting the first few sentences in my WIP (working title: The Runt).
Andrew nudged the phone closer to his son. “C’mon son, grow some balls already. Stop staring at the phone and make the call.”
